As an industrial designer myself I appreciate the execution of these cubes. I’m guessing there are little magnetic balls inside each face that can rotate freely so that all faces always attract and never repel. You can hear the magnets re-aligning as faces come together, a very satisfying sound. The two halves of the cubes join so cleanly the seams are almost impossible to see. They work as building blocks, but my favorite application is a fidget device, they function almost like a hingeless Rubik’s cube. Very cool.
